What happens when you stop worrying about “finding your niche” and simply embrace the challenge of the craft?
In this guest presentation, enthusiast photographer Martin Cooke shares “5 from 2025,” a curated record of his photographic output over the last year.
Inspired by a concept from the StreetSnappers Collective, Martin has expanded the idea to cover the full spectrum of his work, offering a refreshing alternative to the many genre-specific presentations we see today.
Martin has been a regular viewer of PhotoClub247 webinars for years, and he’s now joining us live to share how those sessions helped shape his own photography.
By sharing the images he’s most proud of, he aims to encourage fellow enthusiasts to review their own work and find the courage to share it with a wider field.
Join us to discover how a year of varied shooting can culminate in a powerful visual record.
Based in a small village in Northwest Leicestershire, Martin Cooke is a dedicated enthusiast photographer who truly discovered his passion for the craft after retiring in 2017.
What began as a retirement gift to himself – a Canon 7D MkII intended for capturing his sons’ sporting events – quickly evolved into a deep involvement in the UK camera club scene.
A member of both Ashby De La Zouch Camera Club and the renowned Smethwick Photographic Society, Martin balances his family life with a constant drive to challenge himself and improve his photography across all genres.
