Photographing with Purpose
with Brad Carr – 7th & 21st April, 5th May at 7.00pm (UK & Ireland)Check start time in your local Time Zone
Number of Live Lessons: 3 – Lesson Duration: 90 mins
A three-part online mentoring class to help you refine your artistic vision, unearth your creative voice, and make more meaning from your landscape & nature photography.
For many photographers, there comes a moment when technical proficiency feels hollow. You might know how to use your camera and understand the principles of composition and light, but something is missing. You want more from your art. Your photographs, while technically competent, lack the depth and meaning you innately know is possible for your art.

This online mentoring class has been built to address your soul’s longing.
The Dance Between Thought & Being is Brad’s philosophy of creative practice; a Yin-Yang approach to the art of photography & writing that balances:
- Being (Yin/Feminine): Intuitive creation, mindful presence, connection with subject & self, senses & feelings-based approach to photography
- Thinking (Yang/Masculine): Reflection, critical thought, articulation, analysis, understanding the deeper layers of “why” that drives our creative work
Over three 90-minute online sessions, we’ll alternate between creating photographs (in your own time, between sessions) and reflecting together on what emerges. Through this dance, you’ll unearth more of your authentic creative voice and understand what your soul is trying to express through your lens.
This online class is limited to 20 students to allow plenty of time for questions and personal help from Brad.

You don’t need exotic locations. In fact, familiar surroundings often work better: your garden, a local park or woodland, neighbourhood streets, or even your home.
The magic isn’t in where you photograph, but in how you see the world around you.

Meet the Instructor – Brad Carr
Brad Carr is a blossoming Nature photographer and writer from Wales. The art of photography, for him, is a spiritual practice more so than a hobby or profession. His photographs of the sacred Welsh landscape possess tremendous depth and meaning, depicting the sense of a long-lost home that he experiences whilst in the natural world following some tragic and turbulent formative years.
Having landed numerous publications in international magazines recently and hosted his Finding Light exhibition in a prestigious national Welsh gallery in 2025, which reached an estimated 20,000 people, Brad is establishing himself as a pioneer of self-expressive landscape photography. His future as an artist is laden with promise.

The Process
Creative transformation doesn’t happen through information alone; it happens through experience and reflection.
The structure of this workshop mirrors the creative process itself: you’ll create intuitively, then we’ll reflect together to understand what emerged. This rhythm of doing and understanding, being and thinking, is where authentic artistic voice develops.
Some participants experience immediate breakthroughs. For others, insights unfold gradually over weeks or months. Both paths are valid. Trust your process.
The assignments might feel simple at times, but they’re designed to create openings for deeper awareness and portals for conversation. Stay curious about what calls to your soul. Your lens knows things your mind hasn’t yet learned to understand and articulate.
