This online class delivered by Zoom over 3 weeks (1 hour 45 mins each class) is designed for photographers that want understand and fully utilise the NIK 8 Collection. We will cover:

  • How to denoise and pre-sharpen – gain the knowledge to do this easily and effectively every time
  • How to make powerful Monochromes – using the power of Silver Efex
  • Create effects and build your own style – with Color Efex

This online class is limited to 30 students to allow plenty of time for questions and personal help from Jonathan.

  • How to use ALL the modules with NIK 8 Collection
  • The selective way to work with control points and selections
  • How to use the luminosity selection features
  • Build your own presets and develop styles for your images in Color and Silver Efex
  • Make powerful and speedy edits in Viveza
  • Work creatively with Analog Efex
  • Output image ready for print with balanced output sharpening
  • How to enhance detail in your subject

Viveza – The editing module
Define and RAW Sharpen – Work in a controlled environment using denoise and pre sharpening in one combined layer.
Color Efex – start to become creative working with the 61 built in effects and develop them into your own recipes.

Silver Efex – gain full control of monochrome editing with the world most popular mono editor

Analogue – Edit with textures and techniques to give images a unique artistic feel
HDR – Bring images together to work with a wider dynamic range
Output Sharpener – to give you confidence that your subject is correctly sharpened for your required output of print, projection and more.

Meet the Instructor – Jonathan Vaines

We are delighted to welcome Jonathan Vaines to the Photoclub247 team as our resident Photoshop & Printing expert.

He is an internationally recognised photographic judge and teacher, known for his innovative creative approach and post-processing expertise.

Jonathan regularly teaches Photoshop online, both in groups and one to one sessions. He is also an Educator for the Royal Photographic Society and runs processing workshops for them.

Based in Bedfordshire, UK, he empowers photographers around the world.

When you enrol in this class, you get access to the class material and a profile on the Members Portal for 1 year.

You DON’T get access to the Webinar Replay Library – you will need to Join as a PhotoClub247 member to access it.

Yes! You can read/watch the content on any device including laptops, smartphones and tablets.

You can join the Live lessons using a mobile device, although we find it is a better option to use a desktop or laptop computer.

You can watch the Live Lessons on any internet enabled device.

We use Zoom to host these live lessons.

You have access to all the lessons, videos and recordings of the Live Lessons for 1 year from the end of the class.

Yes, the Live lessons will be recorded and published in the class content so you can catch up at anytime. You have access to the class material, including the recordings, for 1 year from the end of the class.

You can ask questions during the lesson using the Zoom comments section. Or you can unmute your microphone and ask the question directly to the instructor. The instructor will give you guidance on this at the start of the live lesson.

If you have a question about the lesson when watching the recording, each class has its own dedicated “Secret Space” on the members portal, exclusive to attendees of the class. You can post your questions/comments in this space and get help from the instructor and other attendees.

We use Zoom for the Live lessons.

You have the option to turn off your camera if you don’t want to appear on screen to the other attendees.
