The camera will very capably record what is in front of it, but it cannot record what the photographer feels.

This talk explores some basic methods of enhancement and interpretation that transform the literal capture into an image that expresses the photographer’s thoughts and emotions at the moment of exposure.

Colin Westgate has been making landscape photographs for over 60 years and is still as passionate and enthusiastic the genre as ever.

In this talk, he will show images from his early days in the darkroom until the present time, where the power of digital imaging has opened up new possibilities .
