Based in the scenic Forest of Dean, Sandra Walding has spent fifteen years exploring the vast possibilities of the lens.

While her surroundings offer a wealth of traditional wildlife and landscape opportunities, Sandra eventually found herself hitting a creative plateau – deleting more than she kept and seeking a spark that “standard” photography could no longer provide.

Driven by a desire to break the mold, Sandra pivoted her focus toward Multiple Image Photography. For the past three years, she has treated the craft as an evolving experiment, pushing the boundaries of what a single frame can hold.

Her work is a testament to the “highs and lows” of the creative process, resulting in images that are as intriguing as they are unpredictable.

A Master of Her Own Style

Sandra is proudly self-taught and unburdened by the rigid expectations of camera club traditionalists. Her work often divides opinion – described by some as “inspiring and brilliant” and by others as “messy” – but for Sandra, that polarising nature is exactly the point.

Photography as a Tonic

Beyond the technical, photography serves a deeper purpose for Sandra. Following the loss of her husband, the craft became a vital sanctuary. A way to immerse herself in a world of her own making and block out the noise of the outside world.
